Color in InDesign doesn't match Photoshop or PDF.

Since I've update InDesign, I'm getting all sorts of little issues and inconsistencies, but this is a major one.

Working with a CMYK file in Photoshop. When I import it into a new InDesign document, the color difference on screen is pretty drastic. When it's saved out from InDesign as  PDF, the color is back to normal (that is, resembling what it should be, the Photoshop file). Only in InDesign is the color 'off'. I'll attach a screen shot as an example. The first shot is the PHOTOSHOP file, the second is the ON SCREEN INDESIGN image.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

You can also set your color settings globally in Adobe Bridge. Then select View > Proof Colors in each program.

It looks like your PS file has the default US Web Coated SWOP profile assigned, and InDesign Color Settings have been set to CMS Off. There was a problem with Color Settings getting turned off with the first release of CC2019, make sure you have the most recent upgrade.

You need to make sure that your color settings are the same in both Photoshop and InDesign. With no document open go through the Edit menu to Color Settings in both programs and make sure that all of the common settings available between the two programs are set the same. In the first option available "Settings:" choose the one that is specified for your part of the world and the correct Workspace settings for the region you've chosen will automatically get picked. After choosing the settings quit the program and when you relaunch they should become the default settings.
