Command + Shift + = Should Set Text as Superscript in InDesign

I do a lot of work with superscript text, which in InDesign should be Command + Shift + = but a couple of Mac OS upgrades ago, this stopped working. I checked through all the Mac keyboard shortcuts I could find, but couldn't find that combo. I'm tired of having to go to the character pallete and select Superscript every time. Does anyone know of a solution for this?

Cmd + Shift + [equals] is the default shortcut.

 

If the modifier keys are not working (Shift or Command), it may be because another application or browser extension is "stealing" shortcuts. 

 

To test, reboot your computer. If possible, diable your startup applications. LAUNCH INDESIGN FIRST and see if it works corrctly. If so, launch other applications slowly and test, especially browser extensions like anti-virus extensions but some other apps or extensions as well.

You can set this in your InDesign Keyboard Shortcuts in Product Area: Panel Menus > Commands: Character: Superscript.
