got it.

the best place to ask indesign questions is in the indesign forum where (i've moved your post and where) id experts can address your question(s).

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.

I was trying to make changes to an indesign file and it was insisting that a font that was enabled in https://fonts.adobe.com/ was not available in the creative cloud app or via "enable fonts" in indesign. Then I realised several other fonts were not enabled and would not "reinstall" in the creative cloud app.

I tried looking for a thread about this in the support community and found nothing helpful so tried to get chat support, followed the instructions here https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/how-to-initiate-chat-with-adobe-support/td-p/10416376 to start chat by clicking the "contact us" button but that does NOTHING in firefox or chrome

I made a detailled post to ask for help then tried to submit using the "post" button and it would not submit the thread in chrome, so I lost that. It posted this thread in firefox.

It finally enabled the font after restarting everything several times and rebooting the PC.

@peterw15473475

you posted in the cc desktop bugs forum and appear to be having two different (possibly related) problems.

1. you're trying to contact adobe support. is that correct, and if so, is that for an account question or a problem with an app question?

2. you appear to have had a problem posting a question in a particular forum.  is that correct, and if so, what forum?
