Hi,

We have an Indesign file in Fileserver,  the content in indesign (correction made during revises) is mismatch not carried out in the File server when we check after sometimes. And the two version of files have the same size and the md5 value are same.

Could anyone suggest to overcome the contnent missing issue in Indesign.

What do the server logs say about the two files that are on the server that are identical?

  • can they see when they were saved, and by who?

That might shed some light on what is happening.

I'm not sure what you mean by MD5 value being the same, I thought MD5 was some sort of encryption type?

  • Are you're files being encrypted when they are stored on the server?
  • In that case I'd also look at server logs and contact IT to see what is going on.

I have doubts that InDesign would 'mysteriously' create two copies of the same file... unless it's somehow scripted?
