Hi,

I am trying to do this but have no clue how to achieve this.

In the attached image, there is a footnote continuation mark, marked with red circle.

This mark will appear only of the footnote is continued from next page.

How can I achieve this in Indesign? Does any other software does this kind of stuff ? Like Quark Express or Scribus ?

Thanks

I don't think it can be achieved automatically - I don't see any option for that in InDesign's Footnote options.

But it can be done manually - Footnote Reference mark is just a marker - and unlike auto-numbered lists - is "movable" - you can insert text before it:

I've manually copied "original" Refeerence marker from the top frame and split the footnote's contents - into two lines - and pasted this original marker and added text before.

And here is text after adding a new Footnote:

The duplicated marker is updated automatically by InDesign.

But as you can see - it will require moving marker and (cont) text again.

This can be done with a Script in 1 click everywhere in all the document:

… Of course, if the layout moves, 1 click again to reset it!

[I've written something similar for a client in 2018 but it would need to be updated today!]

Yes, easily doable with a script.
