Convert all text frames to outline and delete original text frame

I have 18 document with a couple of hundred pages each. I want to save each document, make a duplicate of it and then convert all text frames in this new document to outlines and delete all text frames.

I have tried a script available on internet that converts the text to outlines but it fails to delete the original text frames.

I also tried this method but it also does not work for me.

I'm using ID CS5 ME version.

Please help.

Thanks and regards.

First of all, you probably aware that converting text to outlines is a BAD idea, in general. To do that directly in ID is even worse.

However, if you're forced to go for it (ancient printer, etc.), and other techniques won't work for you for some reason, better do it in Acrobat.

Just export your pdf from ID 'as usual', open it in Acrobat and read this (for Acrobat  versions 7, 8, and 9):

or this  (for Acrobat  version X):

or just google 'convert all text to outlines in acrobat' to find something similar...

rather tricky, however, it works...
