Hi, I have several pdfs set up as facing page layouts with a single page front cover, and I'd like to convert them to single page pdfs so that the front cover opens as a full page. I've found when people open the pdfs in an internet browser, having a single page front cover doesn't work well. For now, I've put the front cover across pages 2 & 3, but am having to remember to export the pdf from page 2 onwards and I'm sure I'll forget to do that at some point! The rest of the document is laid out as if it's a booklet, and they're long documents so I'd rather not have to copy each page over to a new document if possible. Thanks!

Why not simply exporting Single-Page-PDFs?

Thanks - I want to get rid of the blank page 1 from the document.

Just to expand on Willi's suggestion you can export the pdf as single pages by clicking on the Pages option in the General section of the Export Adobe PDF dialog window. See screenshot below.

Hi @Louise277400952tl5 , It sounds like you want to export spreads not pages. Page 1 would be the cover if you are printing the book, so for browser viewing, you want to skip the cover and export the spreads starting with page 2:

Thanks! I have been doing that, but I'm worried I'll forget to skip the cover one day and upload a pdf with a blank cover! Can you think of a way of deleting page 1 so the document starts from page 2 in facing pages?

From the Pages flyout menu make sure Allow Document Pages to Shuffle is unchecked then delete page 1. Keep in mind if you need to export the book for print, the cover (page 1) has to be to the right of the spine.

Perfect! That's what I was looking for. Thank you, much appreciated 🙂
