I am trying to find out whether I can copy and paste from and to multiple pages in Indesign. It seems impossible (can only select objects on a single spread), and I have always found it extremely unfortunate and counterintuitive. Anyone? thnx

Yes it's unfortunate. But with scripting, you don't need to select. There are other ways to get references to objects throughout the document and move/manipulate them as you see fit.

You are right we can only select objects on a single spread. How about evaluating content collector tool
