Hi Pals,

I've set up my paragraph styles in Indesign and I was wondering if it is possible and if so how I would export them to Photoshop.

Thanks

M

In addition to the points that winterm makes, although Photoshop has the ability to use Paragraph Styles, the properties available are limited compared to the properties found in Paragraph Styles within InDesign. You'll probably encounter situations where the text may not look as expected because certain paragraph properties aren't available in Photoshop compared to InDesign. But at the core, setting text in Photoshop will also result in lower quality text due to the rasterization of that text. What is your end goal for your project?

Worth adding to Chad’s post…if you save the Photoshop file as a PDF, the text will not be rasterized.

Totally valid point Bob. Still trying to figure out why the OP wants to set the type in Photoshop though. My neck is twitching just thinking about it ;-)

Well, there is some features you could find useful, just see these links:

However, I have doubts about your workflow in general. You shouldn't deal with significant amounts of live text in Photoshop. This kind of job is not what Photoshop is intended for.
