Corrupt Indesign File

New Here ,
Oct 25, 2019 Oct 25, 2019

I have a large indesign file that has become corrupt. I can open the file, but when I try to move text boxes on certain pages it crashes. I've tried backsaving to an IDML file and clearing my preferences, neither worked. I think it's possibly a font issue. I tried replacing all the fonts and when I get to one font it crashes everytime. This is an adobe cloud font. I've tried closing the fonts and replacing the fonts but it crashes. Is there a way to eliminate this font from the document?

Try this: Make a copy of your document, divide it in two, see which half has the issue, divide again and keep dividing until you (hopefully) isolate the isssue.

You should also regulary make incrementally named copies (Save As) of your documents, so you can revert to an earlier version if a corruption occurs.

Another approach: If the offending font is being used in a Paragraph or Character Style, try changing it there.
