Creat Outlines in InDesign 2026 on PC

In my workplace I use PC and when I try to use the Keyboard Shortcuts for 'Create Outline' it is not possible. Nothing happened. I have to use the Type menu and schroll down. Why does it not work?

In my home I use an MacBook Pro and there is no problem.

You might have a program running that overrides that shortcut. You can edit shortcuts in InDeisgn and map the command to a different key combination.

Thank you Scott but it does not work. I have checked my commands in other programs... closed them and also tried to change the key combination. On my PC I am not allowed to write a new key combination. It simply doesn't work

For your information Scott - I just changed it now to 'Ctr+shift+Alt+O' and now it works! 🙂

Do not outline text in InDesign, do it in Acrobat Pro.
