Created a new page, but new page won't accept text

New Here ,
May 16, 2018 May 16, 2018

Bear with me here, as this is a bit hard to explain.  I have a document that I need to revise which meant that I need to create a new page, which I did.  Then I went and added a few paragraphs at the beginning of the document, but as the amount of text in the document increased, the new page I created remained blank.  The newly expanded text somehow didn't recognize the new page and just skipped over it.  Any help you can give me would be REALLY appreciated.  Please be elementary with your explanation as I am pretty new to ID.  Thanks so much.  Doug Dillingham Ohio City, CO

With Selection Tool selected (Black Arrow) Press (W) to go to the Normal mode if you are in the Preview mode.
In you text frame you will see a red box wit [+] sign in the right down of your text box, Click on it (Just one click with the selection tool).
Go to the other page and Click+Drag to draw a text frame with the overtext you have.

The page has no text frame for the overset text to flow into. You need to create a text frame then click the out port at the bottom of the last text frame in the story (it probably looks like a red plus) then click on the new text frame. The overset text will now flow into the new page.

InDesign is not a word processor.
