Creating a scrollable InDesign document?

Hi all,

I've created an InDesign document that I would like my audience to scroll through, versus having to click through page-by-page. It's obviously very long, to accommodate the scroll.

When I hit Publish Online, the document comes up showing the full height of the document (see image). What I need is to show the full width of the document. Otherwise it's obviously unreadable!

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I appreciate it.

David

I created a document with the dimensions above and then pasted lot of picture. Then i exported the indd document to HTML. I was able to read the document. You can try this by yourself and see results.

Try exporting to HTML, It will be easy to scroll for your audience and no need to zoom.

    You can try this: http://ajarproductions.com/scroll/

But that would require the entire page to be in a scrolling frame so make sure to test thoroughly.

Have a look at the InDesign plugin in5: Ajar Productions: in5 - Home

You can pay extra and license in5 for just teh month you use it, if you only need it for say one job.

Why not to do export PDF with scrolling view?

Remember, never say you can't do something in InDesign, it's always just a question of finding the right workaround to get the job done. © David Blatner

    Hi,

what is the height of your single page document?

I doubt exporting to pdf would help when compared to publish online

    Hi Aman,

The document is 11 inches wide and 180 inches long. (Crazy, I know.)

Most formatting I've tried defaults to the length of the document, not the width. I'm assuming there's a function for Publish Online that will allow me to default to the width of the document.
