A client has requested that the publications we work on together in InDesign (18.1) export references when she runs it through bibliographic software (e.g. Zotero) in a particular format: Authors, date, title, series name, issue number, publisher.
Unfortunately I don't have a Scooby how to do it!
I've tried the File Info both from InDesign and also the aditional metadata in the pdf I have generate from the InDesign, but no joy.
Any advice or general pointers much appreciated, thank you.

I've only worked with biblio software from the other end, i.e, having an author who keeps all that data in such a tool generate ID-ready bibliographies, etc.
What information does Zotero (or any such tool) gather from PDF (I gather...) publications, offprints, and so forth, and where does it pull it from? If it's not the regular metadata, there must be a formatting process for the free-form data fields.
But we have to know what is being looked for, first.
