CS4 Key does not work while activating

I have my CS4 and serial number. I installed it a new PC and trying to activate it but I see a red cross when I key in the serial number. Please help

Well, if you are sure you are entering it correctly:

1. Are you on the same platform as before (Mac or Win)?
2. Did you download the same version of CS4 as before (standalone or as part of the CS4 suite?)
3. If the suite, did you download the same one? Design, Design Premium?
4. You are allowed two activations per license—did you deactivate the old system?
