Is there a way to create new arrowheads or other shapes to add to the end of a line segment?

Hi Charles:

You can't change the list of arrowheads, but here is a workaround to create custom arrowheads. You don't need to use Illustrator if you want something basic. You can create the arrowhead right in InDesign and then follow the steps:

If you have a Creative Cloud subscription, Illustrator offers more default options than InDesign (39 choices vs InDesign's 11):

And Photoshop has a variety of arrows to choose from in the Custom Shapes

Artwork prepared in Illustrator and Photoshop can be placed into an InDesign document.
