Hi! I have an unfilled rectangle with a dashed line border (3 and 2). I actually have several of them, all with a stroke weight of 1, but some of them are disappearing in the pdf after I export (even though I can see them in indesign). all of the ones that are disappearing also are showing these lines next to 0 pt and 1pt that I can't figure out how to change? Haven't been able to find the right keywords to figure out a solution online. I'm not sure what I did to set it up this way?
Thank you!

Can you show a screenshot of your Appearance panel?

I'm not sure exactly how to find the Appearance panel, but here is a screenshot of Properties, and the Stroke panel when I have the rectangle selected! (these settings look identical to the rectangles that are working properly).

Make sure you have Enhance thin lines checked in Acrobat > Preferences > Page Display.

Have you tested solid lines in the same file export? Does happen to these aswell? Have you tried creating a new file just to test..?

Aside from the rectangles that have the dash symbols next to 0 and 1 stroke weight, all of the other rectangles (solid lines and dashed) are working fine. I can create new dashed rectangles to replace the problem ones just fine, but I am mystified by what the issue is + am hoping to not have to re-design all of the problem rectangles.

for example, this is what they normally look like--I don't know what I did to them to have them show the dash symbol next to '0' and '1'. (I've tried changing stroke width back and forth and it always reverts to it as well)

Also have you read through any of the other threads..?
