data merge into pdf form

Cheers,

I am facing an issue regarding to what is called "data (or mail) merge".

More specifically, I created a "pdf form" using Acrobat DC, and I would like to use InDesign "data merge" option for some fields I use basically for description without loosing the pdf form functionality.

Is it possible?

#option 2: I can automatically create description parts using InDesign. Imagine that I created hundred files.

Next, I want to "merge" a unique pdf form (single file) to each and every file I created in InDesign (side by side not as different pages). Or is this possible?

Any other suggestions or solutions are more than welcome.

I have Adobe Suite/windows.

Option 1: No, a PDF used in an Indesign data merge will flatten all form elements in final PDF.

Option 2: This is not going to work in Indesign.

But you can use Indesign data merge to create the multiple description parts. Then in Acrobat, you can copy and place form elements on all pages in a one step process. Then, if all pages need to be a separate PDFs, use the Extract Pages as Separate File function to create multiple files.

Thank you for your response @   I would be very glad if you could please explain a bit how "I can copy and place elements on all pages in a one step process?" Because that's the bottleneck I can not figure out.

Here's the screen shot, One note, this option will duplicate the form fields, but not the labels that appear to the left. I would suggest have the labels in place and duplicated in the merge process.

#update I see now, duplicate fields across pages. Thank you for your suggestion!
