DIN bold font not recognized

Explorer ,
Mar 06, 2015 Mar 06, 2015

First, have you tried deleting the files that Peter mentions? I would do that first if you have not done so.

There are no free editors that could responsibly recompile the font other than Font Forge and I wouldn't recommend it. Not because it isn't capable but you would be in for a learning curve.

If you have already tried deleting the files that Peter mentions, feel free to send me a PM and I would be happy to look at the fonts. I wouldn't be able to until this evening.

Mike

Hi everyone,

I am having the exact same problem. I have DIN Light, Regular, Medium and Bold installed in my computer, but ID only recognizes the first 3. I have tried deleting the adobefntxx files, re-installing the font, but no luck. And Font Forge is not a user-friendly tool for an illiterate like me. Any kind soul that can help me out?

Thanks!

UPDATE: Problem fixed, there is indeed a bug with the font DIN Bold (at least with my version, and I suppose everybody here is having the same version) that required some digging into properties in order to make InDesign to recognize it, so not Adobe's fault

I removed your email for two reasons. First, it will attract spam, and second, we don't encourage the pirating of fonts.  If you already have a license for this font, please request instructions for making the repair yourself, or take the conversation off-forum.

First of all, you need to convert your DIN-Bold font from TTF to OTF via online converter.

here you can : [link removed by moderator]

Install the converted OTF font, that will work cent percent.
