DINPro InDesign/Adobe Fonts 2024

I am confused because I have been using DIN Pro for years until today when I got a new computer (both PCs) and now all of a sudden DINPro and DIN Condensed (TT) are missing when I open InDesign files. When I go to Adobe Fonts to reactivate them, they cannot be found. 

I guess if they were completely removed maybe? But they happen to be removed right at the time I got a new desktop? I don't think so.

I haven't been able to find the right fonts to replace DINPro, any help is appreciated.

Ok update - it seems DIN Condensed and DIN 2014 are acceptable substitutions for the missing fonts. There are a few limitations when it comes to bold options but it works enough.

This is just a huge headache to now have to replace all the missing fonts in every single one of the company materials I work on and ensure everything is correct (i.e. no overset texts). Still confused why the fonts only went missing once I got a new computer and worried this will happen again the next time I upgrade my desktop.

If you have a lot of files to proces - my ID-Tasker tool could help you with that - it's not free but it can automatically process whole server full of INDD files - will replace fonts, check for oversets - and fix them or just prepare a report - and can also export new PDF / JPEG / PNG files at the same time. 

You can run it overnight or leave for a weekend - it will even "survive" corrupted files.

It sounds like both your new computer and old one are owned by the people that you work for. I'm wondering, therefore, if the old PC actually had physical versions of the True Type versions of the DIN fonts loaded on its hard drive. This would mean that the Adobe Type versions were not activated on your old computer and it would then make your current situation make sense.
