Hello, I co-run my school newspaper and we just dowloaded InDesign today. My co-editor used her free trial to make a template for our newspaper but I can't open it on my computer. We share the same account but every time I try to open the template a message saying it cannot open the file because InDesign may not support it or a plug-in may be missing. I'm not entirely sure what to do here and we've been trying to figure it out for a while as it is imperative that I begin working on putting the paper together this weekend. Any help would be great, thank you so much!

Do you both have identical versions of InDesign ?

Trials only last for seven days so are not recommended for ”real” projects.

Hi,

Are you opening the files in same version of InDesign?

Also can you try what happens when you open the same file from its idml?

To do so..

Click on File->Package

From the Package folder, open the .idml of the file
