Does Google plays books actually support hyperlinks?

hi guys, thanks again for your previous help.

My epub works on my pc using adobe digital editions and calibre. It works on my small ipod using ibooks. But when I go to use it on my android phone using Google play books, when I tap on the hyperlinks all that happens is it zooms out with the slider at the bottom of screen and those other options eg. search up the top.

Can anyone please help? thanks
