Explorador ,
May 08, 2025 May 08, 2025

Please help - I am simply trying to add a drop cap, with 3 lines, like the N, but when i do it to my I, it jumps to the right of the text box. Can anyone please advise, possibly? (All my text is left aligned)

In the paragraph style do you have in the justification section the paragraph composer or the world composer? Use the paragraph composer. Check if your paragraph style language is with a western language and that the character style setting does not contradict.

Well t hat's not right.

Try export your document to IDML (FIle>Export and choose IDML)

Open that and save as a new indeisgn file

If not that

Try resetting your preferences:

InDesign 19.3 and newer go to Preferences > General > and click on "Reset Preferences on Quit" and then quit and restart.

Or
Windows: Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
macOS: While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.

Are you using an RTL version of InDesign?

Hi @magicgenie:?

You screen shot shows us part of your Paragraph panel, but cuts off the direction controls (if they are there). Can you reshare it in its entirety? (I'm using an image from an older version, but looking for what is outlined in red, on yours.)

MÁS RECIENTES

Changing to paragraph composer seems to fix it. Thanks everyone.
