Drop shadow cut-off after created pdf from Indesign 2023

I have used some drop shadow for outline text frame; visually the drop shadow sharpness it seems good in Indesing document but in the PDF output, there is some cut-off above the drop shadow. Could someone please investigate this matter and what precisely occurs when a PDF is created? Export preset can use High Quality.

The size setting of your shaddow is negative. It should be 0 or positive.

Hi @mani34374446to41 , Could you clarify or show what you mean by cut-off? I exported your test to the default PDF/X-4 preset and in AcrobatPro’s Output Preview the previews seem identical:

Do you mean the problem is in the printed output? If the destination is an offset press, you might try taking the black out of your CMYK mix, e.g. something like 53|38|15|0 instead of your 35|21|0|26. The printable halftone dot size is limited for most offset presses, so in print the drop off from your CMYK color values to the white page might be more abrupt than it is on screen, and even more abrupt on the Black plate.

If the destination printer is some kind of composite digital printer, you might try using RGB swatches. Composite printers almost always use RGB drivers and do better if you send RGB color and let them make the conversion into the print space.
