Edits do not save when opening InDesign file on another computer via Dropbox

When I edit an InDesign file and then save it to Dropbox, the edits do not show when I open the same file on another computer. InDesign is up to date on all three computers I use. One computer has InDesign CC 2016, another InDesign CC 2017 and the third InDesign CC 2018. I don't imagine that would be the issue but I'm mentioning it just in case. Has anyone had experienced this issue? Any solutions?

Hi Bob,
I see one issue:

There are three different versions of InDesign on three different machines running Dropbox!


If machine A is providing doc A with CC 2018 and someone with machine B with CC 2017 ( there is no CC 2016, I wonder what really is installed on machine C ) opens doc A, machine B is using a temporary duplicate of doc A, because one can only open a CC 2018 document with Adobe's Save Back Service that converts doc A to IDML and provides the IDML as InDesign document saved with CC 2017.

jessicar24143905 , do you get notifications that InDesign documents are added or idlk files are added to the Dropbox folder?
If not the users of the other machines did not save the new documents yet or do not save them to the Dropbox folder.

Make sure that ALL three machines are using the same InDesign version!
