Hi

You can use Type menu > Find Font... to locate the text.

It could be in hidden layers, on your pasteboard... somewhere not too obvious

Outlining all the fonts in a document is almost never necessary. You will lose certain features—for example, paragraph rules, bullets, underlining, for example. I first wrote about this ten years ago, and it's even more true than ever:
