Is there a way to create emoji letters in this product? I need a tool that has the full unicode emoji base in it.

There is a Glyphs panel that - when the appropriate emoji font is selected - will call upon the emojis in that fontset.

On my mac, InDesign can reference the Apple Color Emoji set and the EmojiOne set.

If the answer wasn't in my post, perhaps it might be on my blog at colecandoo!

I heartily endorse this event or product.

But OP is too vague about its intended usage. If it's "yeah I want to be able to type REALLY awsum phat txt msges" then, no, InDesign is not the product for that.

Hi All,

My goal is to put a message into a document and just foward that. I don't need to do it in Twitter or on my phone.

The real reason I asked this was because each of these platfroms don't have the full Unicode Emoji set. I was hoping and will find out if InDesign can fit the bill.

Ah, that explains things.

No, InDesign itself "has" no emoji. You can only use them if you have fonts that contain them.

And if you do have an emoji font on your system that has all the empji you want, you should be able to use it elsewhere as well. As for fonts, InDesign does nothing "special" that allows you to do stuff you can't do elsewhere.
