ESEF/iXBRL reporting

Contributor ,
Nov 26, 2019 Nov 26, 2019

Hi,

From January 2020, listed companies need to publish annual reports in ESEF/iXBRL format.

This is a new regulation which is mandatory. How do we export/convert/process existing Indesign Documents to ESEF/iXBRL formats, which have to be fully compliant with the mandatory regulation?

Thanks

Currently, there is no functionality to convert to ESEF. The basic structure of ESEF is XML, it may be possible to manually map the styles to tags and export the XML data to match the ESEF structure. However, there are technical problems with configuring it to fully support the iXBL structure.
If you search on the web, you will find several services that convert PDF and Word documents to ESEF, so it may be more realistic to use those services.
