Export EPUB fixed layout - texts paragraphs don't come out

Hello,

While exporting my Indesign CC document into EPUB fixed layout, I loose all the texts from the original doc - and I don't understand why.

The rest of the pictures, layout, table of contents are there...but not the texts.

Could you please help me? (attached is a picture of the result missing texts)

Thanks in advance,

Emilie

Edge is a horrible fixed layout epub reader.

Try Adobe Digital Editions. It's not perfect but it's way better than Edge.

I'm having the same problem, my fixed format export is becoming completely destroyed once I upload into kindle. I've checked on Adobe editions and it's fine. Then when I try to upload and publish on kindle, my formatting is no longer fixed but jumped and all the words/photos are smashed together. I'm now working on creating a reflowable and adding page breaks to solve that issue. It's upsetting because I've never had a problem as a self-publisher using a fixed layout. I found out that Amazon changed their system a lot.

So far I have started over with reflowable and added the page breaks so all the text between pages is not smashed together. Then, im working on the line formatting, which is what im trying to learn about how to execute now. I'm going to look at the resources you've provided and keep trying to learn as much as possible to execute this properly. I don't like my work to look sloppy. The thing is it's definitely been frustrating week. I have noticed the same that the fixed formatting is no longer reliable, and I'm better off not using it anymore. Thank you! I do appreciate your time.

I actually do have graphics but I've removed some of them for purposes of simplicity for my ebook.
