I know for a fact I will be doing lots wrong here so apologies in advance, it's all new to me!

I have drop shadow (multiply) applied to various text on my page but when I export to PDF, it looks grey? I've tried previewing on different applications and it looks grey no matter what-

At the moment I'm going to: File, Adobe PDF Presets, High Quality Print, and rolling with the automatic settings. Please do let me know how I SHOULD be exporting. It will be going to a commercial printer at some point. Many thanks for your patience and kind insight!

Before exporting - go to View>Overprint Preview and see how it looks.

Does the gray show up here?

If so - then adjust your Dropshadow settings to get the colour you want.

You might have better luck creating a new Swatch - call it Rich Black - and set the colour to 50% Cyan and 100% black.

Then use this Rich Black Swatch for your Drop Shadow colour instead.
