Exporting to PDF with SVG files embedded in InDesign

When trying to view or export an InDesign file containing SVG files, I receive the following error message:

      SVG.InDesignPlugin

              Scand Ltd    http://www.scand.com

To display SVG in this document you need SVG plug-in. Please, contact Scand Ltd to get latest version.

If I open the file, the SVG images are absent, and if I try to export this file as a PDF the program crashes.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?! I am basically stuck with a bunch of files that I can't do anything with now.....and I am need them ASAP.

Computer and software information:

Mac: macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.3

InDesign: CS6 version 8.1

Thank you for any help.

InDesign still does not support SVG... I know, it is disturbing...

I should also say that I have tried downloading the plug-in from Scand and it still doesn't work. I have checked the plugin directory and it is there

Beyond CS6 being totally unsupported in High Sierra this sounds like a plug in issue. Contact the vendor.

Is it also unsupported in the latest version of Windows as well? I have tried this on a PC too.

Unsupported under Windows 10.
