Facing Pages PDF not showing properly

I have created a facing pages documnet. (sample idml attached).

Bleeds are given 3.175mm all sides. Ideally inside bleed should be ignored by pdf and Indesign.

When I create pdf, in page 2 and 3, in fact, in all the pages, I see a bleed gap. Ideally it should show the output as it shows in Indesign alongwith the crop marks. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

IDML and PDF attached.

When you export the PDF make sure that "Spreads" is checked in the General section of the Export Adobe PDf dialog that appears. Doing that will export the file as the spreads that you've set up in InDesign.

If the book is going to be printed and bound, you can’t send spreads—the printer will need single pages in order to impose the document into printer spreads. Check with the printer to see if they want crop marks and an inside bleed. Usually you can set the inside bleed to 0 because the pages are not trimmed on the inside edge (the spine).

@rob day Thanks for the reply. Actually the book wont be bound. I just need to send the PDF which is not intended for printing. Is there a free plugin which helps in imposition either in Indesign or Acrobat ? Thanks

The printer needs to handle imposition because the settings would depend on the press and bindery capabilities-- things like sheet size, creep, printing methods, etc. all affect how the imposition is setup.
