Hi Adobe Team,
As someone with years of experience using Photoshop and Illustrator, I find it frustrating that InDesign lacks certain standard mouse features found in these programs. This inconsistency creates unnecessary friction and makes the workflow less intuitive.
Zooming with the Scroll Wheel: In InDesign, zooming requires holding the Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac) key while scrolling. This extra step is not required in other Adobe programs and adds an unnecessary layer to memorization and workflow. Direct zooming with the scroll wheel would align InDesign with industry standards and significantly improve usability.
Middle Mouse Button for the Hand Tool: Many design programs allow users to pan by clicking and holding the middle mouse button (scroll wheel). In InDesign, this functionality is missing, forcing reliance on the Spacebar. Adding support for the middle mouse button to pan would make navigation faster and more intuitive.
These features are essential for a seamless user experience and would bring InDesign in line with other Adobe software. I hope you’ll consider implementing these changes to make InDesign more user-friendly for experienced designers.
Thank you for your time!

I agree a lot with the Middle Mouse Button for the Hand Tool. That would be a real game changer.
