Fixing footnote spilled text

Hi Amadis,

what does the footnotes contain in the overset parts?

Check this with the Story Editor window: Select the text and do Cmd + Y (Mac) or Ctrl + Y (Windows).

I suspect some hyphenation issues. Text cannot hyphenate for whatever reason.

Possible but unlikely: anchored frames.

Thank you for replying. The footnote coontains more text. I clicked the shortcut you indicated. Some text window appeared. I still don't know how to fix the problem.

The solution may lie in "wrong" formatting of the overset text.

Now that you have access to the overset text in the Story Editor window you could look for formatting like "No Break" or others that makes it impossible that the text can continue and flow on the page.

 

Without having the document open it's hard to tell what exactly is going on.
