Floating leader and page number in TOC

I have a strange problem in the InDesign TOC. The leaders dots and page number in an entry floats to the line above for no apparent reason. There is nothing unusual in the TOC story editor or in the text itself.  The dots lengthen or shorten correctly when you edit the text.  In the example, Detection Technologies is on page 52 and Driver Assistance Systems Technologies is on page 53, but you can see the leader and page number have 'floated' up.  The leader dots lengthen and shorten with edits to the text.

Could there be a baseline shift on the original heading in the main document? Sometimes manual formatting there gets picked up by the TOC and appears in the final TOC.

    Yes!  That was it exactly. There was an extra space at the end of the original heading that had a baseline shift of 15 points.  Thank you so much.
