Exactly what do you mean by “suddenly font get crashed?”

What your screen shot shows is that text formatted in the font is getting substituted. Apparently InDesign believes that the font isn't installed or has been corrupted in some manner.

If you are running on MacOS, open FontBook and ascertain that the font is indeed still installed and not corrupted.

If you are running on Windows, likewise check that the font is installed via the Fonts Control Panel.

Hi Dov,

Thanks for your reply. We have fixed the query. Actually in our server, we have installed same font for multiple time with ".OTF" and ".TTF". Due to that font get corrupted i mean to say "suddenly font get crashed". It's resolved now. Thanks for your help.

you should stay away from using ".TTF". Rememeber that ".ttf" may come in MAC only or PC only.

Using a professional font manager is the on way to help you in the future.

the basic font manager macs come with is not smart enough to tell the different between Helveticas:  opentype, truetype and postscript. and if you are mixing them up its only a matter of time before you experience serious font issues.

If you are doing professional graphic design work its a must have to use a professional font manager such as suitcase fusion. Last, a professional font manager will not let you put something bad in it. as in corrupted font.

Personally, fixed or not, I would make the switch to OTF fonts, not TTF. If you want to say with Helvetica, Adobe names their's Helvetica Std, however, fonts like Linotype's Neue Helvetica OTF can support up to 33 languages.

(Technically, Macs can use Windows TTFs, but not vice versa.)

Actually, all “new” TrueType fonts on MacOS are compatible with Windows. It is only the older resource fork-based TrueType fonts that can't be used on Windows (when transferred to Windows, they appear as having a length of 0 bytes.

Thanks, Dov. GTK.

Question: How "new" is new? (What OS did they change?)

Don't recall with MacOS 10 release gave up the ghost on resource fork-based TrueType fonts. Sorry!

Maybe that the font does not support Arabic text and RTL?
