If my client is paying for InDesign CC only, can they see the MyFonts in my InDesign document since they won't package?

If you are using Suitcase, I suggest you use the Document Font Tracking function. Using that, there is an option to Collect for Output the fonts in a  particular document, assuming they are available/loaded within Suitcase and aren't cloud fonts you can't package anyway.

Do the MyFonts you use embed in a PDF? That's not exactly what you're asking, of course. But if the MyFonts you use embed in a PDF, you can at least share your InDesign output with your client.

If you're looking to share InDesign documents your client wants to modify, as said elsewhere here, that client will have to have both InDesign and the licensed fonts you use to maintain layout fidelity on the client's system(s).

Hope this helps,

Randy

If your client has InDesign CC only, they have access to Adobe Fonts at fonts.adobe.com as part of their subscription.

Myfonts.com is a separate service for fonts and has no connection with Adobe Fonts. You could package an InDesign file which uses the MyFonts fonts you are using an InDesign document. Your fonts will be included in the package so they can use them but only for your document.

When I say package, I mean use the File > Package command in InDesign.

Yes, I understand. Now I know where they came from Suitcase! Myfonts.com. So I unless I buy the fonts, I'll need to find ones to replace those on the adobe fonts site. So more work for me, unfortunately! Spacing and everything changes, as I'm sure you know with different foundrys. Thanks for clarifying my issue. Back to work!

I've moved this from the Using the Community forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the InDesign forum so that proper help can be offered.
