Footnote numbers not showing as superscript

Participant ,

Having trouble with footnotes. I've set the footnote numbers positions to "Apply superscript" but they appeared as regular text size. I even created a character style with the Position set to superscript, and even that didn't force it to display as a superscript. Screenshots for reference. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just a weird bug?

Create your own Character Style with Superscript functions, which are available in your font (not all fonts have superscript numerals), you might offset and scale normal numerals in the style and choose it in the footnote setup.

If you want to use superscrpt numerals in the footnot itself, apply it via paragraph style's nested style function.
