I do a number of textbook layouts, and when I'm done, other people are sometimes just too tempted to tweak "just one little thing," which, in a very complex layout, can throw off the entire book. After a particularly bad incident, we decided that unless I'm dead or something, nobody touches those files except me. As a little reminder, this is now on the first page of those documents (with apologies to the Bard):

That was the site I used most for looking up period specific rules for a font I made for a series of small books I laid out a year or so ago. There was a lot of French quotes from the late 1700s in them. So I thought what the heck, build the rules into the font. The screen shot is from my font editor with the hist (historic) feature active.
It was a fun endeavor.
