I would like to be able to work with facing pages, or full spread, versions of my document, as well as single page alternate layouts. How do I do this?
I don't think there's any way to have spreads and single pages in a single layout unless you uncheck Allow Document Pages to Shuffle and manually combine/separate the single pages. This kind of layout can get messy for operations expecting one layout or the other, such as printing. (That toggle is in the hamburger/three-line menu of the Pages palette.)

I think just checking and unchecking Facing Pages in Document Layout will toggle this. Not sure what cascade of issues it might bring.

I tried that but affects both of my layouts, wich destroys my print layout.
