GIFS in ScriptUI image

Has anyone successfully used a GIF as scriptUI image?

var myImage = ScriptUI.newImage("imageName.gif")

I keep getting "invalid image data", however the Object Model Viewer says that the format can be of type gif.

I can't get that to work either. Looks as if GIF is no longer supported.

Thats unfortunate. Oh well, just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one! Thanks for taking the time to try it out.

You may have figured this already, but I had the same problem and all I did was convert the GIF files to SWF files and SWFs worked great.
