Go to page and trigger MSO state

I have a multi page document with ~80 pages. each page has some MSOs with show/hide states and some with 10-20 state options. I am looking to link from one page to another and trigger a specific MSO state for the new page load. think of the use case as a map of roads. The map is spread out accross multiple pages. some roads will end at the edge of one page and continue on another. I have buttons where the road ends, and another on the second page where they continue. I want the buttons to load the continuing page, and then trigger the MSO I have that highlights the corresponding connection point.

This may be confusing, but essentially I want a specific button/hyperlink to trigger a specific MSO state on a new page.  As object IDs for mostpage items are number generated, I am only able to identify specific MSOs by their class= using their Object Style, and the name= by naming the MSO and Object State.

Can you share a few pages of your document? You can click my nickname if you prefer to send it privately.

Objects are global - so clicking on an object - should show / hide objects on another page.

You cannot control an MSO on a different spread natively. It might be possible with scripting.

Looks like it is work fine without scripting - attached PDF from an earlier thread - with "map" moved to the next page.

ahh, yes, I should have mentioned I need this functionality for HTML5. PDF won't support the rest of the functions I require.

It's possible to assign "Goto" on top of the "Show/Hide" - bookmarked is red TextFrame:

but as MSOs won't work in the PDF...

PDF? MSOs don't work at all in a PDF.

You are right. MSOs are unrelated to Buttons.
