Google link to Highlighted Text in InDesign

I have a client who is using Google Link to Highlighted Text in URLs in their source document. These links do not import into InDesign, and when I try to implement them by hand, they link to a 404 page. Has anyone had any luck implementing these? Thank you!

I'm not exactly sure what a Google Link etc. is.

What document form with the active link are you exporting to?

Any properly formatted link text should work, regardless. A sample link will probably be needed to spot any problems.

Thank you for mentioning export. As it turns out, the link doesn't work from the Hyperlink panel in InDesign, but it does work in a PDF exported from the same document. Problem solved. Thank you so much!

There's not much reason (and a glitch or two) in trying to use links from within InDesign itself. Everything is set to use links as exported and embedded in PDF, EPUB, Publish Online, etc. And now you know!
