Graphics sizing

Graphics from Illustrator seems to be sizing according to graphics content instead of artboard size.

In Edit>Preferences>File handling, "Preserve image dimensions when relinking" is checked.

But it is using content instead of artboard for the dimensions.

How do I set it to look at artboard size?

(there is artwork in multiple graphics that all need to display in the ID document at a particular size, so I need to scale them correctly.)

When placing make sure to show options. Make the appropriate choices there.

so, can use art, crop, trim, media, etc.

Can that option be changed for graphics once imported?

Which of those would be the Illustrator artboard?

Media. If you want to change it, relink it with show options enabled.
