GREP to format spaces between words

I have a paragraph style and I want to use GREP to automatically apply a character style to spaces between words (the character style simply reduces the tracking). Can someone help me with the GREP formula for this?

All spaces? Or spaces between certain words?

You don't need a GREP to adjust word spacing. In Paragraph > Justification > Word Space, You can set a Min, Max, and Desired.
