Question

Grey lines appearing around some images in Indesign on export

Hello,

I am creating a report in Indesign and the inserted images look fine in the software. When I export to PDF interactive, some of them have strange grey lines appearing on some sides (see screenshots attached).

I can't figure out what is causing this, and have searched online with no luck.

Any insight would be hugely appreciated!

This type of graphic should be iported as vectors, best as AI or PDF/X-4 files. The lines on top or on the left appear sometimes with raster images. I think this is a bug, but you can decrease the image frame or move the content a little bit to left and up to hide these lines.

Hello,

Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately I received these images externally from staff members and they can only send them as jpegs.
I tried cropping the image frame to hide the lines but they just kept appearing when I exported the file so I don't know what else to do?
