H&J value reacting opposite

Hi All,

I'm trying to increase the value in H&J to avoiding the tight line. But, the lines are going to more tight.

The increased H&J value is creating to the opposite? If yes, kindly explain the H&J usages briefly.

I think you want to increase the Minimum Word Spacing to prevent tight word spaces:

Allowing some flex in the Letter Spacing and Glyph Scaling could also help

You're allowing for extra word space, but your ideal is still 100% and you are telling ID that it's OK to tighten the word space to 80% when the ideal Desired can’t be set.

If you never want tighter word spaces set the Minimum to match the Desired.
