Having problem in typing text in InDesign 2025 - 20.2 version

I do have the problem when i type "PJUC-1507/P" changed to "PJUC1507-/P". But the "Convert Variable to Text" is not lighted up for me to select 😞. Unless put a space between "C" and "-" (PJUC-1507/P) , then it shown correctly. May i know how to fix the problem, cause i done this file an year ago in InDesign.
Just found this problem after i uploaded to 2025 - 20.2 version

This is a wild guess, but check the language settings assigned to that text. I suspect there's a left-to-right right-to-left mixup here.

it happened when i created a new text box in this file, the text box cursor is started Align Right. 😞

May i know when i can check and change my language settings on this file??

thank you for your information. I found my file's text boxes are all changed to "Arabic". It looks fine after i changed back to "English" . But when I try to create a new text box, it still in "Arabic" automaticly. May i know how can change the text box language from "Arabic" to "English" in the setting please?

What is the default ParaStyle when you create a new TextFrame?

Change this setting in this ParaStyle.

Thanks for your reply! I downloaded the older version and start a new document, and copy the text are fine.

However, i still have the same problem in my old working file. Too sad that i need to work on it and adding pages into that working file.

Maybe your file is somehow corrupted?

Try IDMLing - export as IDML, open, save with a new name - do not overwrite your original file.
