Help! InDesign won't force quit! I installed the latest version of InDesign 2015 earlier this week. I've been having issues all day with bulleted paragraph styles—system gets hung up every time I try to edit the style. I tried to force quit so I could un/reinstall, but it won't force quit and my computer won't shut down until InDesign is closed. And I can't open the new document with the previous version. I'm on Mid 2009 model MacBook Pro running with OSX Yosemite 10.10.3. Any assistance appreciated.

I just ran into the same. Haven't seen a glitch like this since OS9.

Does anyone have a REAL answer to this OP? You know, not a facetious or sarcastic one? Something to actually solve the problem without having to shut down seems like it would be possible.

The OP would need to upload the document so it could be tried on other systems. That would determine if it's a corrupt document or a problem on the computer (potentially a font).

On a Mac, you can always open up Activity Monitor (Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor). Select InDesign in the list of processes. Click the X (Force a Process to Quit) button at the upper left.

It doesn't show up in the Activity Monitor, and I'm not seeing it Terminal either. Thanks!
