I was working and all of a sudden my project screen, those X'd gray boxes are images in place, has turned into something I cannot get out of. I need to see my layout and images. I have no idea how to back out of this and am afraid to do anything. Can you help me restore my page veiw back to normal please. I probably hit a wrong keystroke in my working without realizing... TIA, Ken

Select View > Display Performance, and then select High Quality Display from the drop-down menu.

Select W to toggle the guidelines on and off.

Ah, so I was holding down the SOC keys to size the images and touched that 'Z' key which is right there in the middle of the Shift-Option/Control keys on the Mac. That threw my display performance into 'Fast Display'. Never in my life have I, but now you saved me and I'm back to work. Thank You so very much Derek.
